Network
Involvement
There
are many ways for an
individual or family
to help GIHN eliminate
family homelessness.
The easiest ways are
by praying, volunteering,
and giving. Please click
on How
Individuals and
Families Can Help GIHN for
ideas
and details.
You
can also help eliminate
family homelessness
by involving your church
or civic club. A Sunday
school class might pray
for GIHN and its guest
families or a civic
club might do a fund
raiser. Click on How
a Church or Civic Club
Can Help.
Churches
and faith communities
that
serve
as
Host, Co-Host, and Support
Communities are the
backbone
of the Network As the
name suggests, Hosts
provides the shelter
for the guests. Each
calendar quarter the
Host Communities take
one
week, Sunday evening
through the next Sunday
morning to make a home
for the guest families.
Co-Hosts
come along side a Host
Community and provide
volunteers. Many hands
make light work!
Support
Communities may have
GIHN volunteers in their
midst but their current
role is to provide finances
through regular
contributions.
